Swimming upstream
If this is to be an honest forum, I just want to note that tonight I really hit the wall regarding balancing the workload: the collaborative technology project put me over the top! I know in my heart of hearts that it will all get done, but I am honestly confused by the structure of the assignment, and the mounting venues within which we are operating this semester. I do like our little enclave here in blogging land, ladies. I look forward to sharing more as the weeks progress. Tonight was a low point, plain and simple.

I can completely empathize with your feelings, Julie! It seems as though this freight train is running out of control!! We'll just do our best and take it as it comes.

Hey Julie...you know, some days it's so easy to feel completely overwhelmed and inundated. Just remind yourself that we are over halfway there! This time next year we'll actually be looking forward to summer vacation!

I am totally on the same page with you. I was good this week and did school work every night this week and it's Sunday and I'm still not done.

Thanks for putting this all in perspective by focusing on next year's summer vacation. I think I will have to visualize that to get me through.
I have to tell you, as the days go on and I find myself attending this course for a number of hours each day, I find that what I am most grateful for is the small enclave of our blogging corner! Thanks so much for the encouragement, empathy and perspective. This week is a better week, still running behind but as I look around I see that I have lots of company. I've been trying to do at least one special thing for myself each day -- last night it was a tall glass of ice tea, sitting on my front step while the sprinkler ran in the yard. Ahhhh, the simple pleasures of life!
I hope that the course is going more smoothly for you, Julie. I know that the collaborative technology project can seem overwhelming at first... I am glad that you seem to be enjoying the blogging assignment. (It's my baby.) Please let me know if you have any questions or if there is any way that I can help you to succeed in this course.
